How to Find Car Loans OnlineWebsites Offering Auto Loans, Loan Quotes, and Car Loan Comparisons
Before walking into the car dealership, car buyers should be armed with several competing loan quotes. Here's how to find car car loans on the web.
The number one mistake car buyers make when arriving at the car dealership is not doing their research beforehand. Such a customer is the car salesperson’s dream come true: a car buyer who has no prior knowledge of the sales process or the ins and outs of car finance. For obvious reasons, car dealerships would rather the car buyer secure a car loan through their dealership. However, if the car buyer has obtained competitive loan quotes from other financial services companies, it provides an incentive for the dealership to offer an even better deal. Finding Car Loans: Cars.comThe popular website Cars.com is a one-stop shop for car research. Car buyers can search autos, read reviews, and read helpful car buying tips. To find car loans using Cars.com, click Auto Loan Calculator to the right of the Used Cars search form on the Cars.com home page. In the Get Financing box on the right-hand side of the page, select Credit Problems? or Pre-Qualify, then click the Apply Today button to go to either Carloan.com or Up2Drive.com (respectively). Finding Car Loans: Edmunds.comLike Cars.com, Edmunds.com is an excellent resource for car research. To find car loans using Edmunds.com, click the Car Loans tab at the top of the Edmunds.com home page. On the Car Loans page, the car buyer can obtain car loan quotes from Car.com or Up2Drive.com. Finding Car Loans: Yahoo! AutosYahoo! Autos is a car research website that is very similar to both Cars.com and Edmunds.com. To find car loans using Yahoo! Autos, click the Finance tab at the top of the Yahoo! Autos home page. Car buyers will then have access to finance calculators and links to Yahoo! Autos car loan partners including AutoLoanDaily.com, DriverApproval.com, Carloan.com, and CarsDirect.com. Finding Car Loans: LendingTree.comLendingTree.com is most famous for its free competitive loan quote services, particularly in auto loans and mortgages. Using LendingTree, car buyers can receive competitive quotes directly from lenders. To find a car loan using LendingTree.com, click the Auto Loans tab at the top of LendingTree’s home page. At the top of the Car Loans page, note that the car buyer can compare up to four auto loan offers using LendingTree. Click the Loan Type drop-down list and select Buy Vehicle, then click Start Request and complete the auto loan request application. Finding Car Loans: Bankrate.comLike LendingTree, Bankrate.com features car loan comparisons among a number of lenders. From the top row of tabs, click Auto. Under New/Used Auto Rates, click the drop-down list and select an auto loan rate (36-72 months). Click Go to choose state and to begin the car loan quote process. Finding Car Loans: E-LoanE-Loan makes it very simple to obtain car loan quotes from E-Loan partners. From the E-Loan home page, click Start Now in the Auto Loans box. Select Auto Loan (or Motorcycle), select loan type, then estimate the car buyer’s state of credit. Click Start Now to begin the process of finding a car loan. Buying a new car is an enormous task, one that car buyers should fully research before walking into the car dealership. But when armed with car loan quotes using websites including Cars.com, Edmunds.com, Yahoo! Autos, LendingTree, Bankrate, and E-Loan, the car buyer is likely to save money with a more competitive offer from the car dealership.
