- Sub-Prime Lending Affects on the Mortgage Markets
The media has taken this dog and really beat it to death lately. Many pundits predicted the collapse of the sub-prime mortgage market long before it occurred, so I can understand the need to say I told you so. But have they gone too far? The affect of sub-prime lending market on the mortgage/loan market will be minimal. With sub-prime defaults representing less than 10% of total loan defaults, this should be nothing more than a footnote. Certainly not headline worthy. Am I crazy? Tell me what you think?
